Pure Land Infinity Reservoir (PLIR) is the current electronic music incarnation of Franklin Dambra, a genre-defying composer & pianist currently based in Houston, Texas.
Franklin began programming synthesizers and composing atmospheric music at the age of 15, shortly after falling in love with the Warp Records sound of the 90s.
After taking a pause from electronic production to focus on the piano for several years, he returned to electronic music via the PLIR alias around 2018. Today, Franklin functions as both a pianist and composer in both acoustic and electronic forms.
The PLIR sound is a nod to the aesthetics of Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, and earlier Ambient pioneers such as Brian Eno, who developed sonic vehicles for transcendental subjectivity thematically directed at nature and metaphysics.
Along with self-releases streaming on all major platforms, PLIR music has been featured on the Midievil Records compilation ‘That’s What I Call IDM’ and the New Thinking Allowed show hosted by parapsychologist & PhD Jeffrey Mishlove.
